Writing is a bitch

Actually, I guess I do – I wanted some motivation to have to write SOMETHING – anything – in order to keep my skills up. I should have known that nothing short of a deadline where a customer is breathing down my neck will motivate me, if I don’t WANT to write.
Part of the problem, I guess, is that I don’t feel motivated to write about everything going on in my life. A goodly amount of that, I keep private – not secret, just private. I share with people when it’s relevant to them or when they express an interest in knowing. So it goes against my grain to just throw things out there assuming people want to read.
In some ways I envy some of my friends, like Brett, who can write on and on about the trivia in his life as well as the high points. At least it gives him something to post.
In any event I’m going to try again to do better more. With travel season heating up at least I’ll have a little something to write about there. Off to the blazing heat of the southeast AZ desert (and the slightly less blazing heat of the southeast AZ mountains) on Wednesday for five days. I may even get some pictures this time, seeing as it’s a birding trip (in part).
